Suffolk: Fire crews called out to chimney fires in county

Firefighters in Suffolk were called out to two chimney fires on Tuesday afternoon.

One crew from Mildenhall was sent to a chimney blaze at a property in Little London Road, Eriswell, at about 5.10pm.

The chimney was described as being “well alight”.

Chimney gear was used and the incident was brought under control just before 5.50pm.

Firefighters from Woodbridge was then sent to a blaze in Hall Farm Road, Melton, at about 5.40pm.

Chimney gear and a thermal imaging camera were used by firefighters and the incident was brought under control by 6.11pm.
