Firefighters in Suffolk were called out to several incidents in Suffolk on Tuesday afternoon.

One crew from Brandon was sent to Brandon Road, in Lakenheath, after it was reported that an ambulance was on fire.

The crew arrived on the scene at 6.03pm and the fire was extinguished by 6.07pm.

Firefighters from Mildenhall and Lakenheath were then sent to North Road, Lakenheath, at about 6.10pm to reports of a fire in a house.

Once they were on the scene, a small chip pan fire was discovered which had also melted the cooker hood.

The fire was extinguished at about 6.30pm.

Crews from Newmarket and Mildenhall were also called out following reports following reports of a car leaving the southbound carriageway of the A11, near Red Lodge.

The incident happened at 4.50pm and they had to release two people from the vehicle, which was done just before 5.30pm.
