TEMPERATURES are set to raise as forecasters predict a short sunny spell is on its way.
Chris Bell, a forecaster at WeatherQuest, said the county would enjoy spring-like temperatures tomorrow and on Wednesday.
He said: “Things are getting slightly warmer and it probably is the first time we have really seen spring-like conditions this year.
“We will see temperatures of about 11 or 12C, so we are into double figures now and it will feel pretty warm.
“It will be dry and there will be some sunny spells which will make a big difference from the colder weather we have been experiencing over the past few weeks.
“We did have a few days earlier in February which were warmer too.
“However, it is unlikely to stay and it is looking like it will get colder again next week, so we are not quite rid of winter yet.”
The average temperature for this time of year is about 7C in the daytime and 1 or 2C at night.
