The pigs were often running away from their masters but the crowds didn’t seem to mind.

It was the Olympics but Mo Farah, Jess Ennis-Hill and Greg Rutherford were no where to be seen.

Suffolk was doing things a little differently and turned the grand sporting spectacle on its head. This was the PigOlympics and dozens of little trotters were seen running and jumping around the pen.

Peter Mortimer, commentated on the contest, he said: “I think this sorted the men out from the boys. This year we didn’t use the bridge and instead went for the piece of carpet which stopped quite a number of the pigs.”

Josh Bell-Tye, 21, came first with pig Nightrider. Emma Edgar was second and Guy Kiddy third.
