Tell us: Do you think your child does enough sport?

PUBLISHED: 15:39 10 June 2014 | UPDATED: 15:34 11 June 2014

Archant

With the Commonwealth Games drawing nearer, we want to know if you think your children do enough sport.

All children up to the age of 16 have to take part in compulsory PE classes during school time, but how active are they outside of lessons?

We want to know what you think! If you live in Suffolk and have a child between the ages of 9 and 16 inclusive (state or private school) please fill in the short survey below and give us your opinion. If you have more than one child please fill in the survey for one child at a time.

Your answers will be used to create a story but will be kept completely anonymous.

Thank you for your time.

  • I couldn't agree more 'beerlover'. When I was you I used to walk or cycle EVERYWHERE. Now both parents have cars and are normally lazy themselves which then rubs off onto the children.

  • Surely a more useful question would be about how much exercise they get rather than how much they participate in sport? The two are not synonymous and many people get plenty of exercise without having to get involved with sport. I've fastidiously avoided any kind of sport since leaving school, where it was forced on me. But I still get plenty of exercise by cycling 5000 miles or more every year.
