A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident on a farm near Thetford this morning.
The casualty, who was believed to be in his mid-twenties, was hit in the stomach by a pipe.
An East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust spokesman said: “We were called at 9.19am today and sent a rapid response vehicle and ambulance to the scene. The man had sustained internal injuries to his abdomen after a plastic pipe fell on him.
“We administered pain relief and immobilised him using a collar and a board, before taking him to West Suffolk General Hospital for further treatment. Upon arrival at hospital he was believed to be in a serious condition.”
