Police were called to the two-vehicle accident at about 4.40pm after a large tree came down on the A1075 due to the strong winds yesterday afternoon.

A woman in her 40s was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being cut free from her car by the fire service.

Another woman in her 50s was also taken to hospital for precautionary x-rays.
