Fire crews have been attended a stack fire over night to prevent it from spreading further.

One crew from Elmswell was sent to a property in Church Road, Tostock at 1.18am this morning where they found a stack of straw on fire, the crew remained on scene to prevent the fire from spreading.

At 5.00am one crew from Ixworth was mobilised to replace the Elmswell crew. A spokesman said: “The straw stack has burnt down considerably but at this time it is unknown how long we will need to remain on scene.”
