A fallen tree has blocked the train line at Kennett, causing delays and cancellations to services between Ipswich and Cambridge.
Greater Anglia said that services running through Kennett may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or terminated and resumed at Bury St Edmunds at short notice.
“An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed,” said a spokesman for the rail operator.
The 3.20pm Ipswich to Cambridge train, calling at Needham Market, Stowmarket, Elmswell, Thurston, Bury St Edmunds, Kennett, Newmarket and Cambridge, has been cancelled as a result of the blockage.
