Train services in East Anglia will be subject to disruption today due to speed restrictions imposed to “protect the infrastructure” in the forecasted hot weather.
Network Rail will be imposing speed reductions on parts of the network between 1pm and 8.30pm today, Friday, when services operating between Liverpool Street and Norwich will be subject to alterations and cancellations.
Passengers travelling on the network, including those using stations at Chelmsford, Colchester, Manningtree, Ipswich, Stowmarket and Diss, are advised to check travel arrangements tomorrow morning.
Visit Network Rail’s website for more information.
