Normal service has resumed on the Ipswich to Lowestoft line this afternoon following signalling problems in Saxmundham earlier today.

Greater Anglia reported that the line between Ipswich and Lowestoft had reopened this morning after the signalling problems in Saxmundham were resolved by Network Rail engineers.

However the operator added that services may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised at short notice until 1.30pm

“We thank you for your patience and understanding while we return the service to normal,” said a spokesman for Greater Anglia.
