Police in Essex have advised motorists to drive careful in this morning’s icy conditions following a number of minor accidents.


A spokesman for Essex Police said that driving conditions in the north of the county were particularly treacherous and urged drivers to take extra care.

A number of minor crashes in Maldon, Colchester and the M11 have been attributed to the icy roads.
