A jack-knifed lorry has partially blocked the A12 southbound between East Bergholt and Statford St Mary.

The accident was reported at about 7.25am after the engine suffered a blow-out and then jack-knifed across the road.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said a recovery vehicle had been requested and the road was expected to reopen by 9.30am.

There were no injuries reported.
