An Abellio Greater Anglia train

A train travelling between Ipswich and Cambridge this morning has been delayed due to “disruptive passengers”, the service operator has said.

The 5.10am Ipswich to Cambridge was five minutes late leaving each of its stations, including Needham Market, Stowmarket, Elmswell, Thurston, Bury St Edmunds, Kennett, Newmarket and Dullingham.

“This is due to disruptive passengers,” a spokesman for Abellio Greater Anglia said.

  • Well, that is a novel - new excuse for a train being late.

  • The passengers should blame their behavior on the heat....after all, that's what causes disruption on the tracks etc..
