Police have issued a warning to motorists over the icy conditions caused by last night's snow fall.

MOTORISTS have been urged to take care when driving during the icy conditions.
A string of crashes across the county have been attributed to last night’s snow fall.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said there had been several incidents which had seeen vehicles sliding into each other and cars leaving the road.
He usrged motorists to remain vigilant and careful when driving and said that the Orwell Bridge was currently being battered by strong winds.

I have driven to Norwich this morning using the A140. The Suffolk stretch particularly around Eye and Diss is lethal. As soon as I crossed the 'border' into Norfolk roads were fine. Did Suffolk Council fail to send out the gritters last night?
