Trimley St Martin: Two men arrested after man shot in leg last Saturday in Trimley St Mary

Two arrests have been made in connection with the shooting of a man in Trimley St Mary last weekend.

A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from the Felixstowe area, were arrested this afternoon on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The arrests were made at a house in Trimley St Martin after “extensive enquiries” by Suffolk police into the shooting.

The two men have been taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre were they will be interviewed by detectives.

Police were alerted to the shooting last Saturday shortly after 1pm when they received reports a man had been found with gunshot wounds to his leg in Cordy’s Lane, Trimley St Mary.

The 25-year-old man from the London area was treated at Ipswich Hospital for his injuries and discharged the next day.
