Three men have been arrested in Occold, near Eye, after a cannabis factory with a street value of up to £400,000 was found.

Officers from the Suffolk police drugs team and the Scorpion teams carried out a warrant at a farm building yesterday and found more than 2,000 cannabis plants being grown.

Three men were found inside and arrested on suspicion of cannabis production.

A 31-year-old from Westerham in Kent, a 43-year-old from Orpington in Kent, and a man aged 49 of no fixed address, were taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning.

All three were interviewed before being bailed to return on March 16, while police investigations continue.

Officers seized the plants and a large amount of growing equipment, with the haul of cannabis found understood to have a street value of between £350,000 an £400,000.
