Abellio Greater Anglia has said it hopes to have trains back on schedule around 11am after problems at Chelmsford earlier.

Trains into London were being affected by a signalling problem in the area and had to travel at reduced speed.

This meant short notice delays and cancellations were possible.

And although delays of up to 40 minutes should still be expected on some journeys Network Rail has now fixed the problem.

The company thanked its passengers for their patience and understanding.
