Update: A14 reopened as tanker leaking gas found to be false alarm

08:56 21 December 2012

Archant

A SECTION of the A14 near Exning has reopened following reports of a tanker leaking gas.

Emergency services and engineers were called to the scene and both carriageways of the A14 near J37 were closed as they worked to ascertain the nature of the leak.

Engineers assessed the tanker and discovered there was no gas – the leak was from an air hose which has now been fixed.
