An ambulance was called to a seven-year-old boy who fell from rocks at Felixstowe beach yesterday.
At around 5.25pm the town’s coastguard and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called yesterday to a boy, believed to be aged around 7, who had fallen off some rocks on Felixstowe beach. He suffered a deep cut and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
Earlier in the day at 2.25pm the Walton Coastguard was called to an 80-year-old woman who had chest pains on Frinton beach.
The spokeswoman said: “We were called at about 2pm to a woman suffering from chest pain on Frinton beach. An ambulance attended and assessed the patient but fortunately she did not need to be transported to hospital.”
At around 7.15pm the Walton and Frinton all weather lifeboat was sent to assist a 28-foot long yacht, the Rambling Rose, after its engine failed.
Two people were onboard and the vessel was towed to Harwich and placed by the Halfpenny Pier.
Earlier at just after 2.35pm, the Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to assist firefighters to a report of a fire near to the riverbank at Levington.
But when units arrived on scene it transpired to be a controlled burn that had been reported in advance.
