Archant

Drivers on the A12 have been stuck in queues after concrete bricks fell from a lorry.

Police were called to the road, near Colchester, at 6.20pm after reports of concrete in the Ipswich-bound carriageway.

All lanes were closed at 6.45pm so the road could be cleared. Delays were reported before the road re-opened at about 7.50pm.

A diversion had been in place via the B1408 through Stanway.
