A man and a woman have died in a collision between a car and a lorry in Great Barton this morning.

Two people who were inside the car were pronounced dead on the scene. The male HGV driver did not suffer any injuries.

The lorry is understood be from Harleston in Norfolk, while the car is believed to be from Suffolk.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said a number of people are understood to have witnessed the collision but left the scene prior to the arrival of police, and officers are keen to hear from them.
