A 64-year-old Haverhill man who was missing since Boxing Day has been found safe and well in Long Melford this morning (Tuesday).

Michael Cornwell was reported missing on Wednesday 8 January after a friend became concerned by his absence.

Following media and social media appeals police were contacted by someone who knew where he was staying and officers have confirmed he is safe and well.

“We would like to thank you for your help with this appeal,” said a police spokesman.
