Two people have been detained following a suspected attempted robbery in a Thetford underpass.

Police say two people are under arrest after an attempt was made to snatch two bags from a female in an underpass on Croxton Road yesterday afternoon.

Officers closed the underpass for several hours following the incident and carried out an extensive search of the area.

They have also spoken to witnesses and collected evidence.
