A MAN has died after being hit by a train on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border.
Police were called to Kennett railway station, near Newmarket, at about 9.30pm on Friday February 15.
The train was travelling on the Cambridge and Ipswich line and caused services to be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: “Officers along with Cambridgeshire police attended the incident which is currently being
treated as non-suspicious. Medics from the ambulance service also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
