Update: Road closed after crash on A14 near Bury St Edmunds

A SINGLE-VEHICLE crash on the A14 has left the occupants with potentially life-threatening injuries this evening.

The eastbound carriageway of the A14 has been closed due to the crash, which happened near J43 at Bury St Edmunds just before 9pm.

Ambulance crews are currently at the scene of the crash, which involved a silver car with multiple occupants.

The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
