Teenagers at an independent Ipswich school have been learning the secrets of successful businesses during a Dragons’ Den-style day.

Students at Ipswich High School for Girls had to come up with designs for new magazines which would target young women. The magazines’ costings and marketing plans also had to be produced.

Sally Letman, assistant headteacher, said: “We do this event every year for girls in Year 11. We change the product and the time considerations to do it in.”

The girls had to come in looking the part, wearing business suits and attending a working lunch.
