A ROAD has been closed following a serious collision between two vehicles.
Police were alerted to the collision on Woodbridge Road in Wantisden at 4.25pm today.
The collision involved a silver Ford Mondeo and a blue Ford Escort.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service reported that crews from Woodbridge and Aldeburgh attended the scene along with a rescue vehicle from Leiston.
Crews removed the roof of one of the vehicles and awaited arrival of an ambulance before moving the casualty by spinal board.
A spokesman for the police said a motorist had suffered serious leg injuries in the crash and that an air ambulance had taken him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
The road remains closed.
