Firefighters have extinguished a flat fire which started when a pillow became alight.

Crews were called to Mount Pleasant, in Weeley, at around 7.45am to reports of a small fire.

Appliances from Weeley and Clacton attended where firefighters found the fire in an airing cupboard.

Wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet crews extinguished the fire just before 8.10am.
