The family of a man who died in a three-car collision in West Row today paid tribute to a “giving” and “helpful” man.
David John Rolfe, was declared dead at the scene of the incident, which happened at about 8am, just outside Gate 11 of RAF Mildenhall.
The 75-year-old was married to his wife, Janet, for 53 years and had one daughter, Teresa and a granddaughter, Charlotte.
In a statement, his family said: “He lived for the three woman in his life. He lived to help family, friends and neighbours. A giving person with a large heart. His love for the woman in his life was equal to his passion working outdoors and gardening.
“He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.”
Police are continuing their inquiries into the collision, which involved a blue Toyota, red Peugeot and a white Mazda.
