A group of men were reported hare coursing in a field between the A143 and the road to Barningham at about 8.40am.
Police attended the scene and stopped a vehicle nearby and arrested four men on suspicion of trespassing with intent to pursue game.

An 18-year-old man from Surrey was also arrested.
The men have been released for further investigation by the Crown Prosection Service.

Residents in rural areas are asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police. Specific information such as any vehicle registration, make, model and colour is particularly valuable to officers when attending reports of these types of offences.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is advised not to approach but to contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
