The fiancé of a young midwife who died in a car accident has presented more than £20,000 raised in her memory to West Suffolk Hospital.
With the support of family and friends, Mark Wade embarked on a fundraising campaign for a birthing pool at the hospital where his fiancée Hannah Seeley, 23, from Stanton, had worked.
She died in a road accident on the A143 at Pakenham in April last year.
Mr Wade visited the Bury St Edmunds site to present the cheque to head of midwifery Patricia Davies (pictured).
He said people’s generosity had been “unbelievable”, adding: “We wanted to do something to carry on Hannah’s name and a room in her memory will do that.”
