Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a single vehicle road traffic collision in the village of Wetherden.
The ambulance service contacted police at approximately 2.50pm on Tuesday, October 15 with a report that there had been a single vehicle collision on Old Bury Road in Wetherden where a blue Vauxhall Corsa had been in collision with a tree and the male driver had sustained serious injuries.
Emergency services, including the Air Ambulance attended the scene and the 17-year-old male driver of the car, who was the single occupant was air lifted to Addenbrookes hospital.
The boy remains in hospital today in a stable condition.
The road remained closed with diversions in place until 8.15pm whilst officers carried out a collision investigation.
The car had been driving along Old Bury Road in Wetherden towards Haughley New Street. If you witnessed this incident or saw the Vauxhall Corsa travelling along the road prior to the collision taking place you are asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
