The fire service attended the scene in Haverhill


Firefighters tackled a blaze in a thatched cottage.


Crews from Halesworth, Bungay and Harleston were called to the fire at the property in Chediston Road, Wissett, at 6pm today.

The fire, involving a wood burner, was located in a non-thatched part of the cottage.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6.17pm and were back on base by 6.45pm.
