Woodbridge: Police appeal for help to find stolen roofing lead

Police are appealing for information after four sheets of lead were stolen from a roof in St John’s Street in Woodbridge.

The lead was taken from a building with a flat roof between 10pm on March 29 and 8.45am on March 31.

If you saw anything suspicious in the area between these times or if you have any information relating to this theft, please call Pc Matthew Jackson at Police Headquarters, Martlesham Heath, on 101.

East Anglia’s rail services faced a day of chaos as the morning storm brought trees down across several routes.

Suffolk police received 680 calls in five hours during the high winds this morning - 600% more than in a usual day.
