A multi-million pound riverside regeneration project has been given the go-ahead in one of the county’s most treasured tourist destinations.
Suffolk Coastal planners unanimously agreed to turn Woodbridge’s Whisstocks boatyard and the nearby Nunn’s Mill site into a mixed-use development, including housing, holiday lets, retail space and heritage attractions.
The £8million project is set to revitalise the marine setting surrounding the town’s famous Tide Mill.
After winning approval for the project to begin, developers FW Properties shared their delight, saying: “To win unanimous approval reflects the degree of work and consultation we undertook.”
