Hay bales have come off a trailer which overturned after a tractor collided with a wall near Newmarket.

Calls to police were made at around 1.15pm after the incident near the Walnut Tree pub, in The Street, Worlington.

A force spokesman said: “A white and black JCB tractor hit a wall and the trailer has overturned which has spilt its cargo – hay bales. No-one has been injured and the road is open.”

One man died in Cambridgeshire when his JCB tractor crashed yesterday evening.

Police were called to the A1043 at Alconbury near Huntingdon shortly after 5.30pm following reports of a single vehicle collision.

The man, who has not been named, was said to have suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead.
