A date has been set for a decision on two hugely controversial planning applications.
The plans for Hatchfield Farm in Newmarket and Hundred Acre Farm in Red Lodge will be determined by Forest Heath’s development control committee on Wednesday, July 2.
The application from Lord Derby for Hatchfield Farm is for 400 homes, while the Hundred Acre Farm plans would see up to 374 homes built. Both applications were submitted last year.
Such is the strength of feeling on both applications, three speakers for and against the plans will be allowed three minutes each to address the panel deciding the applications. Normally, those for and against an application get three minutes shared between them.
The public speaking slots will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis once the meeting’s agenda has been published.
