Anthony Ogogo would not rule out Chris Eubank Jr clash
ANTHONY OGOGO would not rule out a potential clash with Chris Eubank Jr should the Lowestoft middleweight join the professional ranks.
Ogogo and Eubank Jr 23, have already traded verbal blows since the former’s bronze medal success at the London Olympics, with the Lowestoft boxer claiming he would smash the Sussex-born pro in two rounds.
Eubank Jr currently has an unblemished seven from seven professional record and is making a name for himself outside of the ring, just like his charismatic father, recently launching a tirade of jibes against 2008 Olympic gold medallist, James DeGale.
“We have called each other out but when I did it, it was a bit of banter,” said the 24-year-old Ogogo.
“I was on Twitter having a laugh with one of my sponsors and I said Eubank was rubbish and I would be able to knock him out in two rounds.
“Apparently I have got his back up and he is furious.
“It’s good though as rivalries make for brilliant spectacles, like the era of Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard.
“It would be good to fight Eubank Junior at a packed-out Wembley Stadium.”
