Ipswich Town have finally recorded a result which is not a draw.

Unfortunately it was a disappointing 3-1 loss away to Cardiff, just a day after the club provoked fans’ anger by raising season ticket prices for 2017/18.

Mick McCarthy’s men are now on an extended run without a win and are edging dangerously close to being sucked into a relegation battle.

Take a look at some of the views fans of the Blues have been expressing on Twitter in the wake of the loss.

You can also have your say in our Man of the Match poll.

Was the team’s best player goalscoring captain Luke Chambers?

And what of Bartosz Bialkowski, so often a rock in the Town goal – did he do his best against Cardiff despite the three conceded?

  • Even playing with the usual boring tactic of chasing shadows (mostly in our half of the pitch) our defence was all over the place v Cardiff . It is embarrassing. The heartless displays v non league Lincoln in the FA Cup was bad enough. Most of the performances have been flat, boring and with no signs of improvement.

  • For too many seasons now ITFC supporters have accepted mediocrity. Far too quiet in their show of disatisfaction with results, the owner and the manager. It's all well and good having rose tinted spectacles on saying everything us alright and results will come but they won't. Massive under achieving, massive under funding, an owner who doesn't really give a toss where the club will languish at the end of the season. You've probably guessed I'm not s fan if Ipswich although I have lived all my life in the town. But Ipswich have always had a proud reputation as a family club and decent football but no more. Someone really needs to get a grip before the club will disappear into the ether.

  • Mick is not a happy man and he knows he cant do anything to get us out of trouble. So if his heart his in the club he should do the decent thing and decide to call it a day. Every manger knows when its time to go thanks for what you did in the past for us keeping us in the league when we looked to have been relegated and thanks for getting us in the playoffs but do you really want to stay when you know most of the fans hate you go now you will never win the fans over
