Claydon and St Albans School will represent Ipswich and South Suffolk at the level 3 Center Parcs Finals, at Suffolk One, at the start of next year.

The talented under-14 badminton girls competed at Ipswich Academy with St Albans emerging as the winners and Claydon the runners-up.

In the St Albans team were Evie Barker, Annabelle Bale, Teresa Chung, Amelia Claderhead, Harriet Hughes and Eleanor Manue, while Becky Godbold, Vicky Godbold, Zena Lan and Hannah Ilman represented Claydon.

A total of 11 teams and nine schools took part in the event, which was made up of two singles players and two doubles players (subs allowed for the doubles)

A trio of Ipswich Town youngsters are involved in England Under 17’s clash with Holland at the Torneio Internacional do Algarve in Portugal this afternoon.

Josh Emmanuel, pictured playing for the first team at Brentford on the opening day, played for the under 21s at Griffin Park.
