A Suffolk bowls club has been given a £75,000 funding boost.

Great Barton Bowls Club will use the funding, granted by Sport England and funded by the National Lottery, to upgrade its facilities at East Barton Road. The improvements include an extension to the club room to incorporate new changing facilities and an extension to the kitchen.

Bryan Ellis, development committee chairman at Great Barton Bowls Club, said: “We are delighted to have secured this investment.

“It means we can upgrade the quality of our premises to match the standard of our bowls green.”
