IPSWICH Town’s Under-21s won 2-1 at Charlton 2-1 this afternoon.
In front of watching boss Mick McCarthy, Patrick Kisnorbo headed home a Byron Lawrence corner right on the stroke of half-time, then Jay Emmanuel-Thomas added the second in the 68th minute from a Frank Nouble cross.
Ade Azeez pulled one back for the Addicks at the death, heading home after Arran Lee-Barrett had stopped his penalty.
Moldovan international defender Petru Racu and winger Kynan Isaac, from non-league side Banbury United, both played on trial for Town.
