The midfielder has not featured for the Blues since he came off against Nottingham Forest on January 2 and he is making slow progress from his groin injury.

But Paul Jewell confirmed today he had an otherwise fully fit squad to choose from as Town look to build on Tuesday night’s excellent 5-1 victory over West Ham.

This will include loan keeper Alex McCarthy who is back from his one-match suspension and Jewell admitted he already knows who will start at the Ricoh Arena between the Reading man and Arran Lee-Barrett.

  • Who cares if bowyer is fit or not,he is way past it now, just give the young lads a chance to prove themselves and keep alb in goal he needs confidence ,not knock backs all the time from PJ.If your going to make a change just give the new lad a game, but otherwise keep the same team that played tuesday. At the end of the season get rid of all the old age dross you signed if your still here which i hpoe your not.!

  • I can only hope and pray that when Jewell say's he wants to build a core and that when he say's he knows who will be in goal it is ALB - an ITFC player who has conducted himself in a truly professional manner in spite of the shabby manner in which he has been treated....Build OUR team around OUR players - accept he might not be a world beater but also acknowledge his confidence and match sharpness will not be helped by him sitting on the bench as the back up to another championship's second choice keeper
