  • The only reason we can be sure the club is not for sale is that there is nothing left to sell. When the club had a vibrant team in the top six, a flourishing youth set-up that included Rhodes on the cusp of the first team (hoho) and Wickham the most (over)hyped young player in English football Town were worth apparently, about £8 million. Now there are no contracted players of any value, the club has been stripped bare and the debt artificially inflated to god knows what as the firgures have not been revealed though £80 million seems 'right.' Maybe a nominal value of 1p could be put on the club but the sad truth is that a stick of bubble gum would be 1p better spent.
