Cycling fans have been treated to a rare sight today - the world’s top female cyclists have passed their homes, schools and places of work.

Photos of The Women’s Tour 2014 cyclists have been shared on social networking sights, with residents also sharing their excitement at seeing the riders up close.

Emma Millar said: “We saw them flying past, it is great to see events like this in Ipswich.”
