COLCHESTER United do not know what it feels like to score a “bad goal,” since manager Joe Dunne took over the managerial reins, just under two months ago.

The U’s have tended to score quality goals, either superb finishes or from sweeping moves, and Dunne hopes that trend will continue against Coventry City tonight.

However, although the Sky Blues are three points behind the U’s in the League One table, they are a team in form, having thrashed Hartlepool 5-0 away last Saturday.

Dunne explained: “Coventry is another big game, and it is another opportunity for us to test ourselves against what is a big club.

“Bury (2-0 win) came here in good form, and now Coventry come here in good form.

“Anyone who has come to our stadium in recent weeks has seen good goals. We don’t seem to score bad ones.

“We have clever players who just need to believe a bit more, in what they are capable of.

“It’s also good to have kept five clean-sheets in a short space of time.”

Dunne could well name an unchanged side for this evening’s game, with recent recruit Josh Thompson again on the bench.
