Sudbury-based agency Mackman has been honoured for marketing work carried out on behalf of local charities over the past year.

The High Sheriff of Suffolk, Geoffrey Probert, visited the family-run firm to present a certificate of recognition “as a token of appreciation on behalf of Suffolk” following Mackman’s contribution of £62,000-worth of work to local organisations during 2017.

As well as showcasing last year’s work, Mackman gave Mr Probert a preview of the projects its is currently engaged in with Sudbury charities, The Bridge and St Peter’s.

Mackman’s specialists have transformed The Bridge’s brand identity and modernised its website. This has commercialised the brand and broadened its appeal to the wider community. To promote Sudbury landmark St Peter’s, Mackman is currently creating a new brand identity and designing a responsive website.

Mr Probert has been shining a spotlight on Suffolk’s charitable sector and on those organisations offering support to help make charities’ work possible.

He said: “Seeing the impact Mackman’s work has had on local charities like The Bridge and St Peter’s really highlights the value of good marketing to local charities. I’m interested to explore an alliance of marketing experts to help charities market themselves.”

Managing director Paul Mackman said: “So many amazing charities are limited by their marketing and it’s wonderful that Mr Probert is drawing much needed attention to this issue. The charities we’re involved with see such impressive results from the marketing and re-branding we undertake.”
