As it gets dark at 5pm the walk will begin so bring a lantern to help lighten up the way.

Snape Maltings, Saxmundham

There will be snow at Snape Maltings, as the BBC Concert Orchestra presents Frozen Planet in Concert.

It will feature some of the most memorable scenes from the David Attenborough-fronted production.

See breath-taking high-definition footage of polar bears battling, birds soaring through snowy landscapes and killer whales hunting their prey.

Take part in the big sea dip this weekend to raise money for the Cancer Centre Campaign.

If you aren’t brave enough to go swimming in the sea, you can still take part by just paddling in the water.

It is free to enter - all you need to do is try and raise as much sponsorship as you can.

Abberton Reservoir Centre, Colchester

Get creative this weekend and take part in a watercolour course.

It will show you all the techniques needed to do a pencil drawing from a reference picture and then build up colour and detail in layers of watercolour washes.

A man arrested after reportedly being armed with a gun and allegedly holding a young woman against her will at a house in Ipswich this morning has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries, police have said.

Police searching for missing Kesgrave man Paul Moore, who has not been seen for almost three weeks, have made an arrest.

Three people are due to appear in court on Monday after an elderly woman had her handbag stolen in Felixstowe town centre on Saturday afternoon.

With temperatures due to plunge and three days of snow warnings, calls are being made for neighbours to look out for the more vulnerable people in their communities.

I promised to write more about the café/restaurant on the corner of Fore Street and Neptune Lane cutting down to the Quayside. You will probably recall it as the Neptune Café but it has traded under a variety of names.
