Legendary BBC Radio 4 show Gardeners’ Question Time visits Latitude Festival for the first time ever this summer.

Its horticultural heroes will be found onsite in a retro camper van pop-up on July 13, answering your questions which will be recorded for a special edition of the programme to be broadcast from Suffolk’s Henham Park.

To celebrate International Dance Day on Sunday, organisers have revealed this year’s dance programme.

The BalletBoyz return with new show Fourteen Days, where acclaimed choreographers including Craig Revel-Horwood and Christopher Wheeldon were given just 14 days to work with world-renowned composers to make new commissions.

New Adventures have an exclusive preview from their new show, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake returns with a fresh look for the 21st Century and Phoenix Dance Theatre’s rather timely new contemporary piece Windrush: Movement of the People explores the Caribbean immigrant experience.

Sadler’s Wells are back for an 11th year with a diverse programme. ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company have an exclusive preview of forthcoming show, Sylvia which uses dance, hip hop, soul and funk to tell the story of the Suffragette movement. Sadler’s Wells also present Nomadis from Humanhood; Volume 1 by New Adventures choreographer Jamaal Burkmar and his company Extended Play plus Used To Be Blonde, the new show from Sharon Eyal, performed by the National Youth Dance Company.

Lost Dog’s new show uses dance, theatre and comedy to tell the real story of Juliet and Romeo, who it turns out didn’t die in a tragic misunderstanding. Crxss Platfxrm introduce festival-goers to a new wave of street culture artists.

Late Night DJs will take over the comedy arena with Rave Karaoke, Massaoke and indie dance party Buttoned Down Disco. Guilty Pleasures brings all-girl Bruce Springsteen tribute The She Street Band while Pandora’s Playground hosts The Disco Shed.

Theatre announcements include Gate Theatre and English National Opera’s Effigies of Wickedness, a cabaret of riotous songs banned by the Nazis in the 1930s. Paines Plough and Birmingham Repertory Theatre premiere Anna Jordan’s new play Pop Music, while master-puppeteers Blind Summit stage the UK premiere of Henry.

RashDash’s Three Sisters sees the award-winning feminist theatre and music makers reimagine Anton Chekhov’s revered play with electric guitars in a festival-special gig-theatre edition.

Also in the cabaret theatre, audiences can experience Just Like Real Life, a vivid and violent new work from using virtual reality by theatre-makers Emma Attwood and Nick Finegan. Another immersive experience comes via Dash Arts’ Euro-Squat.

Mozart’s Don Giovanni will be beamed to the theatre arena live from Trafalgar Square as part of Royal Opera House’s season of outdoor summer events.

Award-winning writers, poets, podcasters and authors will perform in the speakeasy including laureate of punk and reluctant national treasure John Cooper Clarke and nature writer Patrick Barkham.

Transfemme gender non-conforming performance artist Travis Alabanza performs work from his acclaimed debut chapbook Before I Go Outside [You Love me], Sam Golin - as seen on Challenge TV’s Videogame Nation - and Bisha K Ali present geek-culture themed comedy in their Cult Comics.

Other spoken word performances include teacher turned battle rapper Mark Grist, poetry slam champion Daniel Piper and comedian and music nerd Gabriel Ebulue.

Comedian and presenter Joel Dommett joins the comedy bill as well as taking part in Latitude’s Modern Love panel. Joining him are Rachel Parris, viral star of BBC2’s satirical show The Mash Report; and Kat Bond, winner of Vault Festival Comedy Award 2017.

Soho Theatre present a hand-picked selection of some of Soho’s finest acts in the cabaret arena including Nina Conti, Diane Chorley, Pecs, Tash and Ellie, Sophie Willan, stand-up comedian Eleanor Tiernan joins the bill. Other highlights include Jonny Woo’s Gayzpacho which promises half-naked men wrestling in a tomato pit, go-go dancers, flamenco dancing and more. Duckie returns with their blend of pansy propaganda and immersive cabaret show I Need Cher makes its Latitude debut.

Latitude Festival returns to Suffolk’s Henham Park from July 12-15.
